The Courts with civil jurisdiction in Ireland are:
The Small Claims Court
People usually present themselves at this Court with small claims up to a value of €2000.
The District Court
Existing Jurisdiction: Deals with claims up to €6,350.
The Circuit Court
Existing Jurisdiction: Deals with claims up to €38,100.
The High Court on Circuit
This involves a High Court Judge sitting at different venues around the country to deal only with Appeals from the Circuit Court.
The High Court
Existing Jurisdiction: Deals with claims from €38,100 upwards.
Commercial Court
A branch of the High Court which deals with claims in exess of €1,000,000.
The Supreme Court
This is a Court of Appeal only.

*New Proposed Jurisdiction. This has not yet been implemented. Proposals have been made in 2001 to increase the jurisdiction but no increase has yet been implemented.
